Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - Since its debut in May 2021, the rollout of 5G services in Indonesia has progressed at a sluggish pace, with several hurdles still standing in the way of the government’s target to achieve 32 percent 5G coverage by 2030.

Currently, Telkomsel—part of the Telkom Group (TLKM)—and Indosat (ISAT) offer limited commercial 5G services in select areas, while XL Axiata (EXCL) continues to monitor the technology’s development in the country.
